We save our predictions daily throughout the season and compare them to the actual award winners announced in November.

Our MVP and Cy Young predictions are based on historical BBWAA voting patterns, current season performance, and key factors that influence award voting.
MVP Calculation Factors
Offensive Performance (55%)
wRC+, HR, RBI, AVG, OBP, SLG, wOBA, SB - weighted by historical importance to voters
Team Success (30%)
Playoff teams get significant bonus - voters rarely award MVP to non-playoff players
Narrative/Milestones (15%)
Triple Crown chase, 40+ HR, .400 AVG pursuit, 50+ SB - storylines voters love
Position Adjustments
Catchers and middle infielders get slight bonus for defensive value
Cy Young Calculation Factors
Traditional Stats (60%)
Wins (20%), ERA (25%), Strikeouts (15%) - what voters have historically valued
Advanced Metrics (25%)
WHIP (15%), FIP (15%), K/BB (10%) - modern analytical components
